Scholarship awards will be awarded in amounts of $500 to three (3) Applicants.
(1) scholarship will be awarded for an Applicant with a local English riding background
(1) scholarship will be awarded to an Applicant with a local Western riding background
(1) scholarship will be open to a local or non-local Applicant with an equine background that has actively participated in showing at the Sussex County Horse Show.

To be eligible for scholarship consideration, the applicant must:
Be a resident of SussexCounty, N.J.(localWestern or local English scholarships only).
Be currently enrolled in a college or university for the Fall of 2018.
Have exhibited good citizen traits and be of sound moral character.
Have equine experience in the disciplines of English or Western riding and have actively
participated in showing at the Sussex County Horse Show within the past three years.
Have not previously won a Sussex County Horse Show scholarship.
Procedure: All Applicants will be required to 1) Complete the attached application form, 2) Provide an essay illustrating their past equine experience and the impacts that these experiences have had on their life, and 3) Provide a copy of most recent high school report card or college semester grades and proof of enrollment at a college or university for the Fall 2018 semester.
